1. Before application, what should I know and how to prepare? 申請入學前須知及如何準備?

(外籍生Foreign students) :The prospectus of admission for new coming year is usually released on our website during late September. The online application period for spring term admission is usually during late-Oct.~ mid-Nov. Other than that, if you would like to apply for fall term admission, you can choose early action or regulation action of online application, one is during late-Feb. ~ mid-Mar., the other is during late-Apr. ~ mid-May. Please MUST confirm your eligibility from Taiwan MOE's regulations before you apply (Check here). Click the "Application Link" that we announce on the open date of application to apply online and upload the required documents(PDF Format) before the deadline.

新年度的外籍生招生簡章大約在前一年的9月下旬公告在本校的國際招生網頁上，申請採線上申請，不需要繳交紙本文件，分為三個梯次，第一梯次是春季(2月入學)，會在前一年的10月中~11月上旬開放申請，第二、三梯次是秋季(9月入學)，可以選擇2月中旬~4月上旬申請(早鳥階段)，或4月中旬~5月上旬申請(一般階段)。申請前務必詳閱臺灣教育部外國學生來臺就學辦法規定，確認符合「外國學生」資格條件，再於開放線上申請期間備妥申請文件送出申請。

(僑生 Overseas Chinese students): 申請本校單招管道入學有二梯次，第一梯次10月、第二梯次4月，開放新年度9月入學申請，申請時程依照每年9月下旬公告的招生簡章為主，單招只招收學士班，且須透過本校招生官網線上申請；申請海聯會個人申請或聯合分發管道入學，海聯會每年大約於前一年11-12月受理申請(https://cmn-hant.overseas.ncnu.edu.tw/)，申請人須依照該會時程及方式提出申請，可申請學士班、研究所。另外，須注意依教育部「大學校院辦理單獨招收僑生作業注意事項」規定，當年度經各校單招管道第一梯次公告「已錄取」之僑生及港澳學生，海外聯招會將不再進行分發​​​​；經海聯會分發之僑生及港澳生，各校單招第二梯次招生亦不予接受申請或錄取。如單招第一梯次未招滿，第二梯次簡章會在當年度3月下旬公告。

(1+4國際專修部International Foundation Program): 第1年為華語先修(須完成720小時華語課程)，通過華檢A2後始得進入大學系所修讀專業課程(一般學士班修業年限期為4年，建築系為5年)，大一時須通過華檢B1，始得進入大二繼續就讀，本方案入學申請沒有中文能力門檻，開放僑生、外籍生申請，目前本校提供以下8個學士班可申請1+4。每年分二個梯次招生，春季班、秋季班分別於11月、6月開放申請。

IFP is an admission program providing a 1-year Chinese learning program and 4-year department courses. This program pay half of the tuition fees of bachelor degree program for the first year to learn Mandarin Chinese, and can be admitted to the Department he/she enrolls once he/she passes TOCFL A2 during the year. IFP offers 8 bachelor programs to choose from including Kinesiology, Health, and Leisure Studies, Architecture(1+5), Information Management, Life Science, Applied Physics, Electrical Engineering, Civil and Environmental Engineering, Chemical and Materials Engineering. To apply for the spring term admission of IFP, the online application opens during November, and to apply for fall term admission of IFP, please apply during June. During the second academic year of the program, student is required to pass TOCFL B1 level to continue study.

2.How much is the course fee? Is there a payment plan for the program? 學費可否分期支付？

For the tuition fees information, please go to https://rinteradmission.nuk.edu.tw/p/412-1063-4993.php?Lang=zh-tw. To apply for the installment plan of tuition fees, we offer three installments for paying each semester’s tuition. The “NUK Tuition Fees Installments Application form” can be provided if needed and should be sent to the coordinator of International Student Affairs before the registration day. (The exact deadline of application will be announced on OIA webiste.) Please be noted if an applicant fails half of his/her enrolled subjects last semester, it is not allowed to apply for installments for the new semester. (可分三期，註冊前要送國際學生組申請，申請期限依國際處網頁公告)

3. What language certificate should I provide for admission application?    入學申請需要繳交什麼語言證書？

To apply for a non-fully English-taught degree program, Chinese Language Proficiency Certificate TOCFL A2 or the equivalent level such as HSK Level 4 (or above) issued by the certified institution is required. (See “Medium of Instruction” in P. 4~6. of the prospectus for international students)

華語能力檢定證明TOCFL A2 或 HSK Level 4(含)等級以上：申請非全英文授課系所，須繳交官方認可檢定機構核發之華檢。(授課語言請見外國學生招生簡章第4~6頁)。

Other than that, English language certificate is listed as a required document or supporting document (not Compulsory) to apply for admission by certain departments/programs as below: 

英文檢定證書：為西洋語文學系申請必繳文件，另外申請人可參照簡章部份系所指定「有利審查-選繳文件」一併上傳，以下提供建議或規定之英檢分數:

-Western Languages & Literature(西洋語文學系): IBT-TOEFL of 79/ IELTS of 6.5 -Required Document 必繳文件

-Applied Economics(應用經濟學系), Finance(財務金融學系), Life Sciences(生命科學系), Chemical & Materials Engineering(化學工程及材料工程學系), Computer Science & Information Engineering(資訊工程學系), Applied Mathematics(Master/Ph.D.應用數學系碩博班): IBT-TOEFL of 61/  IELTS of 6 -Supporting Document (Not Compulsory)有利審查文件(選繳)

4.For the recommendation letter, is there any required format from NUK that I have to follow? 推薦信需要依照貴校所規定的格式準備嗎？

We don't have a required format for applicants, but the letter has to be signed in person or with the electronic signature on it by the referee. (沒有規定格式，但信件須由推薦人簽名或有電子簽名)

5. What should I prepare to apply for admission?（Foreign students)申請入學應繳交哪些文件？(外籍生）

C.Highest original diploma notarized by Taipei Representative Office Abroad經台灣駐外館驗證的畢業證書　

D.Official Transcripts notarized by Taipei Representative Office Abroad經台灣駐外館驗證的在校歷年成績單　

E.Two recommendation letters２封推薦信 

F.Financial Statement (Total amount: USD$3,300 ) 財力證明（銀行帳戶餘額說明 , 3300美元以上) 

G.Study Plan & Autobiography 讀書計畫、自傳

H.ChineseLanguage Proficiency Certificate: TOCFL A2 or the equivalent level such as HSK Level 4 (or above) is required, except for the master program of Western Languages and Literature.

    華檢TOCFL A2或HSK Level 4(含)等級以上檢定證書：除申請西洋語文學系碩士班可免繳交，所有科系皆需繳交。

I. Additional documents required by individual departments/學系指定繳交資料: 

-Portfolio of arts: Dept. of Crafts and Creative Design (Compulsory), Dept. of Architechure (If any, not compulsory)作品集：限工藝與創意設計系(必繳)、建築學系(選繳)

-English Certificate 英檢證書TOEFL (iBT) 79 / IELTS 6.5：限西洋語文學系(學士/碩士班)/ Dept. of Western Languages and Literature (Bachelor/Master)

-Achievements or awards of Sports: Dept. of Athletic Performance/ 運動成績及能力證明：限運動競技學系

*Supporting Documents (if available)有利申請之文件(非必要): 申請人可提供相關檢定證照(如英檢、作品集、得獎、競賽、證照等)。如有獎學金需求者，亦需一併上傳申請表。

Applicant can provide relevant certificates as good credits. E.g. English proficiency test certificate, Portfolio of art, certifications, achievements, awards. If the applicant has needs for scholarship, the application form shall be submitted  as applying for admission.

6. Is there any special requirements from departments that I should know before apply? 系所是否有什麼特別的規定是申請前需注意的嗎？

-Dept. of East Asian Language and Literature: The 3 bachelor programs only accepts the application of non-native speakers. (東亞語文學系學士班：各語言組別僅接受非該母語者申請)

-Dept. of Western Languages and Literature: For applicants from English-speaking countries, English language certificate is not required. (西洋語文學系：英檢為必繳文件，唯英語系國家學生得免附英文檢定成績)

-Department of Asia Pacific Industrial and Business Management only accepts applications for fall term admission. No applications for Spring term will be accepted. (亞太工商管理學系：僅接受秋季入學申請，不收春季入學)
